The Company

Rome44.com is a specialized WW2 Tours of Rome company and created the itinerary for the popular Rome – Monte Cassino – Anzio day trip. It was founded by WW2 history buffs with the aim of bringing the story of the WW2 Battle for Rome to a wider public. The Second World War in Italy is sometimes described as the forgotten campaign, overshadowed by the D-Day Landings in Normandy. We believe it is a fascinating chapter of the war and a fascinating chapter in the history of the Eternal city

Rome44.com is named for the year 1944. The WW2 Battle for Rome began on the 17th of January 1944 with the US Fifth Army’s attack on the Gustav Line at Monte Cassino  and ended on the 4th of June 1944 with the Fifth Army’s triumphal entry into Rome.

James is Amazing *****

Hello Spent the day yesterday with James @Anzio and Monte Cassino, and had a great time. He is really knowledgeable in the subject and has a great passion for history in general. A very special experience, particularly at the museums.
