WW2 ANZIO NETTUNO

On January 22nd 1944 Anzio was the site of a daring attempt to outflank the Gustav line centred on Monte Cassino. For four months the allies were contained in the beach head before finally breaking out. Here we visit the Sicily Rome American Cemetery, where nearly eight thousand Americans are buried, and then the Anzio Beachhead Museum.
