We believe it is a fascinating chapter of the war and a fascinating chapter in the history of the eternal city. The WW2 Battle for Rome began on the 17th of January 1944 with the US Fifth Army's attack on the Gustav Line at Monte Cassino and ended on the 4th of June 1944 with the Fifth Army's triumphal entry into Rome.

This walking tour was fantastic. Guide knew so much relevant and interesting information. Right pace went closer to 3 hours rather than 2 1/2 which was great.!
